Found commonly throughout the galaxy, it can be harvested and processed on almost any rocky [[Stars and planets#Types of planets|planet]]. Stone is an impure form of silicon, and can be refined with enough effort. Stone has great compressive strength, making it an exceptional choice as a foundation.

It is [[Smelter|smelted]] into [[Stone Brick]]s and [[Glass]]. It can also be used to produce [[Silicon Ore]] and [[Sulfuric Acid]], if natural sources of those have not yet been found.

* Stone can also be collected manually by the mech, from the rocks and pebbles strewn across planets.

* While Stone can be [[Smelter|smelted]] into [[Silicon Ore]], it is a very slow and inefficient process and should be replaced by direct mining of Silicon Ore as soon as possible.

* Similarly, [[Sulfuric Acid]] should be [[Water Pump|pumped]] from a world with a Sulfuric Acid Ocean once one is discovered, replacing a reasonably complex creation process.
