| The Core Driller is a [[Dark Fog]] structure created by the [[Relay Station]] upon planetfall. It extracts matter from the planetary core, which is deemed unethical by COSMO. It also serves as foundation for the Planetary Base. The matter provided by the Core Driller is used by [[Planetary Base]] and the Relay Station, which will periodically export a part of it to a local [[Hive]]. Upon destruction of the Planetary Base the hole in the planetary crust is revealed.
