Summary
The Core Driller is a Dark Fog structure created by the Relay Station upon planetfall. It extracts matter from the planetary core, which is deemed unethical by COSMO. It also serves as foundation for the Planetary Base. The matter provided by the Core Driller is used by Planetary Base and the Relay Station, which will periodically export a part of it to a local Hive. Upon destruction of the Planetary Base the hole in the planetary crust is revealed.
Trivia
- The hole left after destruction of the Planetary Base can be sealed with Foundations or be exploited with a Geothermal Power Station, both of which will drive the Relay Station away.
- A Core Driller will provide a Geothermal Power Station with 300% energy production +10% extra for each level of the base occupying it before.
