Fire Ice is extremely useful, and despite being a Rare Material, it is somewhat ubiquitous. It IS possible (though not extremely common) to have Fire Ice in your home system. Fire Ice can be harvested from some Gas Giants, all "Ice Gelisol" Planets, and some other types of planets as well.
