  • Added Traffic Monitor. You can build it on the conveyor belt to monitor the status of the production line.

  • Add full icon option. You can select various icons for Blueprints, Conveyor Belt, Traffic Monitor, including alarm signals, items, recipes, technologies, upgrades, etc.
  • Added Global Alert function for Traffic Monitors.
  • Added Speaker function to the Traffic Monitors. You can configure alert conditions and other parameters.
  • Added 24 new tones to the speaker. This includes 5 alarms and 19 instrument sounds.

Changes

  • After landing on a planet, the navigation line for the planet's direction will be automatically removed.
  • When exiting Dismantle / Upgrade Mode, the range operation (F2) will be automatically reset to a single point operation (F1) to prevent subsequent malfunctions.
  • If the plant is destroyed while building, there will be a special effect of destroying the plant.

Balance

  • Changed the "Automated Maximum Stack" of raw materials from 20 to 4 in Matrix Lab manufacturing mode, while the maximum stack for manual operation remains unchanged. The purpose of the change is to accelerate the warm-up speed of the production line.
  • Change the "Automated Maximum Stack" of raw materials in each manufacturing plant from 5 times the recipe demand to 3 times, and the "Maximum Stack" of raw materials for manual operation of the smelter to 50 times. The purpose of the change is to accelerate the warm-up speed of production lines.
  • Increase the limit of the number of blueprint buildings in each mass construction level.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the bug that the amount UI was wrong when using the Mining Machine to cover the veins in infinite resource mode. All UI displays under infinite resources mode were also modified.

  • Added a new space navigation direction icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  • Added 4 new sound FX, including advisor pop-ups, tutorial pop-ups, and several UI sound FX.

  • The Random button for seed selection has been changed to Seed Increment. Players can now go back to the previous seeds more easily.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the bug that the color of the shadow of some selected buildings may go wrong when the selected buildings are removed in Blueprint copy mode.
  • Fixed the bug that it was possible to build a conveyor belt between two tanks under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed the bug that the UI of Matrix Lab was out of form in English language.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the bug where it may report bugs without reason when building Conveyor Belt in Blueprint Mode.
  • Fixed the bug that may wrongly indicate the need of surface support when building Splitters in Blueprint Mode.
  • Fixed the bug where the Icarus' night light may illuminate the wrong position of satellites in the case of multiple satellites.
  • Fixed the bug where the ice surface is not affected by the fog effect when observing the Scarlet Ice Lake from a distance.

Early Access Patch Version: 0.8.21.8562 - September 16th, 2021

Hi engineers!

When you finish the update and enter the game, you'll find the Icarus is kinda different - Yes, Icarus the HD Remastered! New textures, cool animations, and even more hardcore (face) landing technology! Along with it comes new types of gas giants, factory rendering efficiency improvements, and other enhancements.

We've looked at a few ways to save engineers from having to reopen a new game every time a new planet type is added. For example, we tried the method of "leaving the visited planets unchanged and re-randomizing the unvisited planets", but we found that the randomization process was too complicated that the visited planets may also change under it. So now we are adding "subtypes" of planets to solve the problem.

Features

  • The model of Icarus was remade. It now has high-resolution body modeling and textures!
  • Now Icarus has more colorways. You can press C to open the Body Panel to change the color scheme.
  • Added jump animation for Icarus.
  • Added 6 different standby animations for Icarus.
  • Added 4 sub-types of gas giants (gas giants that have not been reached in the old version savedata may become new sub-types of gas giants after the update)
  • Added 1 new main type of gas giants. It produces hydrogen/deuterium at 84%/16% (It can only be visible in the new game)
  • Added 1 atmosphere sub-type for Arid Desert (Arid Desert that has not been reached in the old version savedata may have the new atmosphere sub-type after the update)
  • Added 9 types of rocks and 9 types of gravel decoration to the planet Ashen Gelisol (Ashen Gelisol that has not been reached in the old version savedata may have the new types of rocks and decorations after the update)
  • Added LOD1 / LOD2 rendering levels for Matrix Lab. The rendering frame rate will be improved on planets with dense Matrix Labs.
  • Added LOD1 / LOD2 for Fractionator. The rendering frame rate will be improved on planets with dense Fractionators.
  • Added LOD1 / LOD2 render levels for Solar Panels. The rendering frame rate will be improved on planets with dense of Solar Panels.
  • Remade Space capsule model and textures.

Changes

  • Optimized the length of savedata. Reduced the length of [Entity Data] by about 50%, and the length of [Conveyor Belt and Cargo] by about 10%. Please "Save" once after updating the version to enable this optimization.
  • Modified the collision detection of the Conveyor Belt in the Blueprint construction mode to solve collision problems that may occurred during the construction of the multi-layer Conveyor Belt in Blueprint.
  • Optimized the algorithm for controlling target frame rate and slightly improved the utilization of the GPU at a fixed frame rate.

Early Access Patch Version: 0.8.20.7996 - August 13th, 2021

Dyson Sphere Program engineers,

We gradually improved the blueprint system. From this version, the new Blueprint generated by the new production line manually built by the engineers will no longer have the problem of Sorters mismatch.

However, Bugs in the old version or some early MODs such as "Sorter quick copy" caused abnormal game data, and these abnormalities may remain in the blueprint generated by the production line of the old version. An abnormal blueprint may also contain mismatched sorters, and so on.

Therefore, for future Blueprint dissemination considerations, we hope our engineers can use the newly built production line in the version 0.8.20.7996 (or higher) when making Blueprints, and not copy Blueprints built lower than 0.8.20.7996 In addition, please delete and do not spread the Blueprint that reports the sorter error to prevent data errors* from spreading through the Blueprint. We will continue to optimize related issues to make the game more perfect.

Oops, just want you to know that we are also producing some new, small things besides Blueprint optimization...

* If there is an "Incorrect data of Sorter" prompt when copying the Blueprint, it means that the sorter data in the production line is incorrect and the Blueprint cannot be generated.

Changes

  • Adjusted the logic of the Blueprint copy mode. Now the Sorters will be checked before the Blueprint generate. If the Sorter's data is incorrect, the non-compliant Sorter(s) will be marked in red and the blueprint will not be generated.
  • Adjusted the logic of the Blueprint construction mode. Now the position and direction of the connection interface between the Sorter and the facilities will be checked.

In addition to the optimization and fix of the Blueprint system, today we also bring you a brand new "Performance Test" tool. Before the update log, here is some tips for BluePrint system: How to use blueprints: Double-click the saved blueprint to use it. We will add more prompt in future updates.

About the Tropic (details in previous Dev Progress): The vicinity of the tropic can be divided into six situations according to the number of grids on both sides (the ratio is 3:4, 4:5, 5:6, 5:8, 2:3, and 1:2). The place vicinity type of the tropic to apply the BluePrint must be the same as where the BluePrint comes from. We suggest to just simply follow the instructions to apply the BluePrint, more prompts will be added in future updates.

Changes

Now you can recognize the different status of facilities (pre-select, pre-build and lack of item) when applying a blueprint by the different colors.

Bugfix

Fixed the bug that you may achieve item for free when upgrade/downgrade pre-view model in white color in BluePrint system (the white color appears when you don't have enough item to finish the upgrade/downgrade). Fixed the bug that the Blueprint floor color did not display at higher ground that made the white pre-view model too shiny. Fixed the bug that a red error message may occured when type with certain IMEs in blueprint browser.

We are well aware that the system is still in an immature stage, and our team will be ready to fight the bugs in the few days after the BluePrint patch. At the same time, when you use the Blueprint function the first times, please do NOT forget to save and back up the savedata, just in case.

REMINDER: You don't have to restart the game for the BluePrint system. Blueprint system can directly apply to the existing savedata.

Feature

Added Blueprint System.

  • Now you can create (copy) a new Blueprint. You can select the range of Blueprint by clicking or box selection. The ready-to-build facilities can also be included in the Blueprint system.
  • Now you can apply (paste) the Blueprint on the planet. You can paste the Blueprint in a chain if you hold and drag the mouse.
  • Blueprint construction can realize the quick mass upgrade and downgrade of existing buildings, as well as direct coverage of building recipes and settings.
  • Added the Blueprint facility statistical function. You can right-click and delete the single building you don't want in the Blueprint, or delete a certain kind of facility in the Blueprint statistical panel.
  • Added Blueprint saving and Blueprint code export functions.
  • Added the custom information function of Blueprints. Now you can customize the name, description of Blueprint.
  • CentreBrain upgraded Icarus! Icarus can manually mine the Gas giants now. Don't be caught by Gas giant and become space junk again, Icarus!
  • Added 12 rock models and textures for Arid Desert.
  • Added the model and texture of the Plane Smelter.
  • Added LOD1 and LOD2 of the Plane Smelter, and optimized its GPU cost.
  • Add a scene for the main title. From now on, the 2 main title scenes will be randomly displayed.


Changes

  • Modified the key detection logic to resolve key conflicts such as [C] and [Ctrl]+[C].
  • In the Surface Formation Mode, the color prompt mask on the decorated foundation is removed, and the color prompt mask on the undecorated foundation is retained.


Balance

  • Increase the number of Drones obtained through the "Communication Control" technology (This function can only be applied in a new game. The old savedata can still make up the number of Drones by upgrading the technology).
  • Adjusted the flight speed of construction drones improved by the "drone engine" technology(This function can only be applied in a new game. The old savedata can still make up the speed of Drones by upgrading the technology).
  • Increased the power generation of Mini Fusion Power Station (9MW ->15MW).


Bugfix

  • Fixed a bug that occurred after optimizing the sorter in the [7275] version: the cargo at the end of the conveyor belt or at the node of the closed conveyor belt interface cannot be picked.
  • Fixed the range detection problem when the foundation buries/restores veins.
  • Fixed a bug that the Drone couldn't work properly because its speed was too fast after the technology upgrade.
  • Fixed a bug that key setting conflicts will not be detected when restoring the default keys.
  • Fixed a bug that the combination key may be invalid when setting the combination key in the key setting.
  • Fixed a bug where there are multiple "keys not set" that will be detected as key conflicts.
