Summary
Accumulators are structures that store excess power for use later. They are often seen paired with Solar Panel setups, since Solar Panels are only active during the day. This allows the factory to operate at night, running off of the stored power in the Accumulators. Additionally, they can be used to cover small spikes in power demand, such as recharging Icarus.
Picking up a partially charged Accumulator will cause it to lose all its charge. However, once an Accumulator is completely full, it becomes a Full Accumulator. A Full Accumulator will keep its charge when put in storage. Energy Exchangers can charge and discharge Accumulators accordingly, and interstellar power becomes possible by sending Full Accumulators between planets with an Interstellar Logistics Station.
Full Accumulators can be used as fuel for Icarus and discharge at a rate of 18.8 MW. This will return the empty Accumulator when fully discharged.

Player Tips & Tricks
- Placing Acculumators on a planet, even just a single one, will allow the player to use the Statistics Panel to determine if the power grid's load ever exceeds the amount of power generated. In the Power tab, keep an eye on the Real-Time Battery Data graph. If the power grid's satisfaction is 100%, the Accumulator will fully charge and never discharge. However, the moment satisfaction drops below 100%, the Accumulator will begin discharging. This discharge will show up in the battery data graph as a blue spike, showing the player exactly when the grid was not fully satisfied. Keep in mind that this trick will not work if the planet is powered by Energy Exchangers, as these will be constantly discharging and thus the single Accumulator's power spike will likely not be significant enough to be visible.
