Fully grown Planetary Base

Summary

The Planetary Base is a Dark Fog structure constructed by a Relay Station, after it installed a Core Driller on a planet's surface. It consists of a variety of production and defense facilities and grows over time, until it reaches its maximum size. The Planetary Base's energy is supplied by the Relay Station above it, and its matter is supplied by its Core Driller.

Mechanics

  • A planetary base will idle until it stored up 9500 matter, then it begins construction of the first buildings.
  • The Planetary Base will store a maximum of 15.000 matter, anything above that also gets sent to the Relay.
  • A Planetary Base will produce 180 matter / second, unless it has entered overdrive mode.
  • Overdrive Mode is triggered by close proximity of Icarus or a Signal Tower. It increases matter and unit production speed tenfold.
  • If the Relay is destroyed the Base will quickly run out of power reserves, rendering the Base dormant. (Left over units will remain active)

Composition

  • The Planetary Base consists of three distinct rings:
    • Central Ring. Buildings here progress at a speed of 1% every 6 seconds, meaning one building takes 10 minutes to build. Each building is located on the hard foundation section, which contains:
      • 3 Raider Camps
      • 3 Plasma Sentries
    • Second Ring. Buildings here progress at a speed of 0.1% every 6 seconds, meaning each building takes 1 hour 40 minutes to build, but build in nearly all at once. Buildings are located on the ground, and consist of:
      • 6 Ranger Camps
      • 3 Raider Camps
      • 3 Unknown Structures
    • Third Ring. Buildings here progress at a speed of 0.3% every six seconds, meaning each building takes about 33 minutes to build, but build fewer at once Buildings are located on the ground, and consist of:
      • 9 High Energy Laser Towers
      • 6 Guardian Camps
      • 3 Ranger Camps
      • 3 Plasma Sentries
