Summary
Transport items from Conveyor Belts into facilities, from facilities out to cargo belts or between facilities directly. The sorter can install a filter to only move specific items. A Sorter can cover a maximum distance of three tiles.
Base rate of four times the speed of the Sorter Mk.I or twice the speed of the Sorter Mk.II. Can be upgraded to carry multiple items per trip with the Sorter Cargo Stacking upgrades.

Player Tips & Tricks
Unlike the Mk.I and Mk.II models, when upgraded, the Mk.III stacks several items each trip, which may cause jams if the input consists of more than one kind of item, like when feeding an assembling machine from a storage or when taking items out of production facilities that have several outputs. This can be avoided by setting a filter in the sorter.
To apply a filter, select an installed sorter, then click "Filter" on the control panel that appears. Choose which component you wish the Sorter to handle exclusively.
To remove a filter, select an installed sorter, then click the X that appears next to the component’s icon.
