Player Tips & Tricks
Sorters, like Splitters, can have filters applied to them. This allows for the possibility of transporting several different components on a single Conveyor Belt, rather than requiring a separate conveyor for each component. Likewise, filtered Sorters can be used to output specific components from specific ports on buildings that produce more than one component, such as Oil Refineries.
To apply a filter, select an installed sorter, then click Filter on the control panel that appears. Choose which component you wish the sorter to handle exclusively.
To remove a filter, select an installed sorter, then click the X that appears next to the component’s icon.
