Use the CapsLock key to start the warp engine.
Summary
The Space Warper is a consumable item that allows Icarus to use Mecha Warp mode to travel through space at far greater speeds than normal space flight, enabling interstellar travel. Drive Engine Level 4 must be researched to use the Space Warper. Once Icarus's altitude above a planet is high enough that it is not affected by gravity (~1000 meters), pressing the warp mode key (Caps Lock by default) will consume a Space Warper and dramatically increase Icarus's acceleration and energy consumption. The maximum speed in warp mode is 12.5 AU/s, although further Drive Engine upgrades will increase this limit. Once Icarus comes within 1 light-year of a star system, it will begin to decelerate.
Additionally, after researching Logistics Carrier Engine Level 4, Logistics Vessels can warp between star systems. Space Warpers must be supplied to the Vessels' Interstellar Logistics Station, and once the Vessel's trip meets the requirements configured in the Logistics Station, the Vessel will depart, consuming 2 Space Warpers (one for the outgoing trip, one for the return trip). The player can decide how far away a destination must be to use the warp, or if warping is necessary at all. While it is possible for Logistics Vessels to travel between star systems without warping, using the Space Warper will drastically reduce the transit time.

Total Raw Materials
Raw Materials required to produce n=1 Space Warper accounting for it's full production chain:
- Recipe #1 (Graviton Lens)
- Recipe #2 (Gravity Matrix, requires unlock) [Requires 8X resources below, yield 8 x Space Warpers)
Player Tips & Tricks
- There are 2 ways to make Space Warpers, but the recipe that uses Gravity Matrices is far more efficient. Until Gravity Matrices are unlocked, avoid dedicating more material to Space Warpers than is necessary.
- At Mecha Core Level 4 (1.58 GJ energy capacity), Icarus can fly about 6 LY in one warp before running out of energy.
