Summary

The Structure Matrix is one of the five basic source codes that keeps the CentreBrain simulating. It is needed for mid-tech research. Because the structure matrix recipe requires titanium, and titanium does not spawn on the starter planet, it is the first major product that requires the player to visit a different world. Automating the production of structure matrices is a big hurdle in the player's progression, necessitating the establishment of a complex production line to make organic crystals.

The interstellar logistics tech requires structure matrices to unlock; but is itself necessary to automate the production of structure matrices. Thankfully, the research requires only a very small amount of structure matrices, and can thus be pretty easily researched manually.

Note: Hydrogen created during the refining process during Crude Oil-based production must be recycled through the system to ensure full efficiency. Hydrogen quantity shown in final Stage is remaining surplus Hydrogen which can be diverted elsewhere.
