A mystery substance collected from Dark Fog Debris. Deep scanning reveals that this substance has a topological structure that we have never seen before. Vaguely familiar yet also different, it appears to contain unusual information. We might be able to obtain something different by solving the mystery that surrounds it.

Summary

This Matrix works as a way to research new hidden technologies and can only be used manually by Icarus replicator, meaning you have to manually research each unlocked technology using Manual Research in the technologies tab, while having the Dark Fog Matrices in your inventory.

These matrices are obtainable by killing Dark Fog units that are level 12 or above. Each new hidden technology will unlock only after you get hidden Dark Fog materials related to said technology, starting only when they reach level 15, meaning that you can't actually do anything with the matrices at first.

Player Tips & Tricks

  • You start dropping matrices when Dark Fog reaches level 12, but you won't be able to use it for anything, since you only unlock the first hidden technology when Dark Fog reaches level 15. It is best to store it at first, so when you unlock hidden technologies, you can research them almost immediately.
